Director of DoD Accounts

Ed_HeadShot_LRMr. Ed Mays serves as BITS’ Director of DoD Accounts. He is responsible for expanding the BITS role and position in the DoD market space. He will help BITS understands the DoD customer and provides relevant, timely, and high value solutions to the DoD client. Additionally, he will lead the DoD portion of the business, and provide strategic stakeholder engagement support. Mr. Mays, Colonel, United States Marine Corps (retired), served a nearly 30-year career in the U.S. Marine Corps. He spent much of his career in Command, Acquisition Program Management, Logistics, Software Development, Information Technology, Acquisition Education, Planning, Programming, and Budget and Execution. He has numerous years of experience on ACAT I/MDAP/MAIS programs. He provided direct support to programs such as: Joint Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS), Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A), and Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), Asset tracking and Logistics for Supply System (ATLASS), Joint Tactical Terminal (Intelligence Broadcast Receiver, IBR), and US Army’s Commander’s Tactical Terminal (IBR). He served as the Director for Product Group-10, Informations Systems and Infrastructure, executing almost $1 billion annually. His most recent military position was the Assistant Commander, Acquisition Logistics and Product Support, Marine Corps, Systems Command. Mr. Mays holds the following degrees: B.S. from the University of Florida; M.S. Systems Management (Information Technology), University of Southern California; M.S. Computer Science from the Naval Post Graduate School.
